False Promises & Endless Delays: A Customer Warning 🛑
I'm writing this as a warning about my awful experience with GlassesUSA. I needed a new pair of glasses for an upcoming trip, and their website claimed a 6-day production time, so I thought a few weeks would be plenty of time. Well, that trip has come and gone, and I still have no glasses and no shipping date in sight. To me, frustrating is the word to describe this company - dishonest would be another. Their customer service bot is worthless and I doubt there is any HUMAN reps. This disappointment and the feeling of being completely misled is what forced me to get on the phone and demand answers.
Customer: My order was placed weeks ago for a trip I've already taken! Your site claims 6 days to produce. Where are my glasses? CS Rep: I am so sorry to hear about the delay and the inconvenience this has caused for your trip. Could you please provide me with your order number so I can check its status immediately? Customer: It's 12345. I'm pretty disappointed that you mislead customers on how long this actually takes. I just want a real update, not another automated response. CS Rep: I understand your frustration completely, and I sincerely apologize. Looking at your order, I see it has faced an unexpected delay in the lab. Let me see what I can do to expedite this for you. Customer: An "unexpected delay"? That's not a real answer. I need a concrete shipping date or I want to cancel and get a full refund. This is ridiculous. CS Rep: I have escalated your order to high priority with our lab management. I can offer you a 20% refund for the delay, and I will personally follow up with you via email within 24 hours with a firm shipping date.
The reason I left this review on the website is to hopefully prevent others from being misled by their false promises.
